Capsules live in your phone's local storage only. IndexedDB inside the app sandbox. Nothing is uploaded. No cloud. No servers. No AI.

VAULT does not connect to the internet. No accounts. No analytics. No tracking. Works fully offline.

The PIN gates this app on this device. It is not encryption of your capsules — but since nothing ever leaves your phone, there is no cloud copy to worry about.

Encrypted .vaultx exports use a passphrase you choose (AES-256-GCM). Keep at least one backup somewhere safe.

Clearing app data, uninstalling the app, or aggressive cleanup tools can erase capsules. We remind you to back up every 90 days.

VAULT is a personal, local time capsule. It is not engineered as a vault against determined attackers with device access. Treat it like a private notebook.
